Oh Ma! Where Are You Again? is an original Mandarin stage production that delves into the profound themes of loss and familial bonds, centering on dementia as its core subject. The story follows a mother and son navigating the sudden upheavals of life, facing fragmented memories and emotional challenges, and finding hope amidst adversity.

As the complex and deep relationship between the mother and son unfolds over time, the protagonist, Xiao Wang, encounters Qi Ye, a solitary scavenger. Their meeting opens a whimsical gateway through memories and imagination, leading to a journey of searching and letting go. This poignant exploration takes audiences deep into the realms of familial love and human connection.

With a blend of humour, nostalgia, and heartfelt emotion, this production invites audiences to reflect on loss and resilience. Designed as an intimate three-actor black-box theatre piece with a touch of surrealism, it balances heart-warming moments with gentle reminders to cherish every moment with loved ones.

This marks the reunion of Hao Hao, Jalyn Han, and Jiu Jian, following their involvement in the acclaimed “Getai Musical”.
