Kopi 不(No) Kosong
Step into a nostalgic Nanyang coffee shop where laughter, memories, and human connection flow as freely as the kopi. Kopi不(No) Kosong is a heartwarming multilingual stage production by the Singapore I-Lien Drama Society, celebrating the shared stories that bind generations and communities together.
Set against the backdrop of a traditional kopitiam, the play captures the humour, tensions, and tenderness of everyday Singapore life — from cheeky banter between stall owners to quiet reflections on love, loss, and belonging. Audiences will meet a vibrant ensemble cast, including beloved local celebrities Wang Yuqing, Chen Xiuhuan, and Chen Zhaojin, alongside international dance artist Mikhail, whose expressive movement bridges cultures and language.
Blending theatre, , and dance, Kopi, No Kosong pays tribute to Singapore’s rich cultural tapestry and kampung spirit, while inviting reflection on what it means to stay rooted in a rapidly changing world.
Join us for a soulful evening at Gateway Theatre on 17 January 2026 — where every cup of kopi tells a story, and no heart is left kosong.
