Brass Conversations with Eijiro Nakagawa (JP)

Renowned as one of Japan’s leading trombonists, Eijiro Nakagawa invites you into an in-depth exploration of jazz improvisation and brass technique, offering insights shaped by years of international performance and recording experience.

Eijiro is a member of Slide Monsters, a world-class four-trombone ensemble alongside Joseph Alessi, Marshall Gilkes, and Brandt Attema. He has performed and recorded with elite trombonists including Joe Alessi, David Taylor, Jim Pugh, Mark Nightingale, and James Morrison. Equally fluent in jazz and classical idioms, Eijiro is highly sought after in recording studios and can be heard on numerous albums, jingles, film soundtracks, and television productions across Japan.

Presented by the Jazz Association (Singapore), this masterclass marks Eijiro’s first in Singapore and offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from an internationally respected artist.

Ideal for jazz musicians and brass players seeking to deepen their improvisational language, refine technique, and gain practical insights from a seasoned performer.
