SMU VOIX proudly presents Do You A Cappella 2025: IRIDESCENCE. 

A five-time winner of the local A Cappella Championships, VOIX hopes to captivate and inspire our audience with the beauty of the human voice, and invites all to join us in witnessing our achievements thus far.

As the name suggests, Iridescence is a phenomenon where colours change depending on the light and angle, and fragments, a reminderthat identity, like light, is not fixed. It breaks apart, reflects, and refracts, exposing various aspects of ourselves in various moments. It represents the intricacy and evolution of our identities. It symbolises the complexity and transformation of who we are.

This year’s theme takes the audience through the emotional spectrum of self-discovery, revealing how we often hide behind facades, shed them over time, confront the depths within us, and gradually grow into who we truly are. Through the metaphor of light refracting through a prism, our four acts – Facet, Fragment, Fathom, and Flicker – explore how identity is layered, shifting, and ultimately beautiful in its imperfection.

Through this journey, we hope to hold a mirror to your iridescence, the parts of yourself you’ve hidden, changed, revealed, or are still learning to accept.
