Finding Okaasan

“Fireflies hold memories… When you hold a firefly, you do not see the past; you feel how the past was remembered…”

When a constellation of glowing fireflies leads a young girl to a mysterious firefly keeper in the woods, a spark of hope is ignited. What follows is a heartfelt and determined journey to find her mother—and uncover the answers she has carried within her all her life—guided by love and courage.

In an enchanting evening where music and storytelling come alive, Cellography, Singapore’s first cello pop orchestra, celebrates the beloved melodies of Joe Hisaishi, featuring music from Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro and Princess Mononoke. Arranged by local educator and composer Mr. Hughes Chong, these iconic themes are reimagined for cello orchestra and brought to life with original visuals and animations—creating a magical, immersive concert experience for audiences of all ages.
