Sepakat 3: Kenapa Ke Sana
Nadi Singapura proudly presents the third installment of Sepakat (which means “in the agreement of consensus”), a new season in our ongoing 3-year series of creative works. Inspired by the saying “Sepakat membawa berkat” (a unanimous agreement brings blessings), this initiative embodies the spirit of positivity and collaboration, creating a safe space for exploration and creativity.
Sepakat 3: Kenapa Ke Sana takes us to a small village celebrated for its musical heritage, where bamboo is central to a rich cultural tradition. When the bamboo supply begins to run low, three villagers with distinct personalities volunteer to seek out new resources.
Their journey takes them through various towns, where they encounter diverse musical traditions and instruments like the kompang, jidur, rebana, and gong. Along the way, they gather new knowledge, collect instruments, and return home with fresh perspectives and new musical ideas.
