Our Singapore Story

Our Singapore Story celebrates the people, cultures, and shared experiences that have shaped Singapore over the past 61 years. Presented by the Impressions of Nanyang Arts Association, this special concert takes place at the Gateway Theatre on 16 August 2026 at 7.30 PM, inviting audiences to experience Singapore’s journey through music.

Inspired by our multicultural identity, the orchestra unites Chinese, Indian, Malay, and Western musical traditions into a single musical voice. Like Singapore itself, each tradition retains its unique character while blending harmoniously to create a distinctive Nanyang sound that celebrates unity in diversity.

More than a concert, Our Singapore Story offers a moment to reflect on the journey that has shaped our nation. Through music that bridges cultures and traditions, the programme celebrates the diversity that defines Singapore and the shared values that continue to bring us together.
