DARE Festival 2026 – Who Stole My Spotlight?

DARE Festival returns to Gateway Theatre on 18 November 2026 with Who Stole My Spotlight?, an original variety theatre production that celebrates talent, creativity and human connection through live music, comedy, dance and storytelling.

Produced by Collective Perspectives Pte Ltd, DARE Festival brings together artistes and creative voices that challenge convention and redefine artistic expression.

Set in TransitWorld, a stylised MRT-inspired station, the show turns everyday commuting into a theatrical adventure, ushered in by Mistress Lumiere, played by Mediacorp Artiste He Ying Ying (何盈莹), when she unleashes Main Character Energy, and thrusts ordinary commuters into the spotlight. As personalities grow larger and unexpected talents emerge, the station spirals into playful chaos, leaving one question echoing through the platforms: Who stole my spotlight?

Guiding audiences through it all is The Voice, TransitWorld’s debonair PA system, played by Mediacorp Personality Joakim Gomez: part narrator, part commentator and occasional instigator.

Beneath the fun and spectacle, this year’s production also explores deeper ideas of visibility — who gets to be seen, and who gets overlooked.

Supported by the National Arts Council with Mediacorp as Production Partner, the event will be recorded and streamed on meWATCH, bringing DARE’s message of inclusion and creativity to a national audience.
